Where: Brookstreet BBQ 7232 Highway 6, Missouri City, 77459
This weekend's ceremonies and events will be held commemorating Juneteenth. On January 1, 1863 President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation, but many across the Union did not enjoy or even know that slavery had ended for years. The state of Texas was the last to find out, as they received word nearly 2 1/2 years later when the Union soldiers, led by Major General Gordon Granger, landed in Galveston, Texas with the news that the war had ended and the enslaved were free.
Join Kesha in bringing the news of a new emancipation, one which will free all mankind once and for all from the British empire, from the grip of war and geopolitics, a true emancipation that will bring about an end to poverty and create a productive future of lasting peace and true economic progress. We will be gathering Saturday to join with Kesha in discussion, and then organize at the Juneteenth Parade nearby, to recruit people in the district to work with Kesha's campaign.
Kesha has many people around the country already endorsing her campaign. Here is the 1 min video of Thomas Wysmuller, former NASA scientist, in his endorsement of Kesha:
