“The curse of poverty has no justification in our age…The time has come for us to civilize ourselves by the total, direct, and immediate abolition of poverty.” Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
My name is Kesha Rogers. I’m running as an Independent for the 9th Congressional District of Texas. On Jan. 15, 2018, we pay tribute and honor to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through our continued acts of service and dedication to freedom of all mankind from the curse of poverty. This is the key to true peace and freedom. We celebrate the establishment of this day as a newly recognized Federal Holiday. We must live up to the commitment of Dr. King, and fight for the immediate abolition of poverty in this nation, and throughout the world, as Dr. King’s nephew Isaac Farris said, by treating this day (and every day) as “a day on, not a day off”.
I am running for the 9th Congressional District of Texas to provide leadership to address the needed solutions to the problems faced by both the citizens of my district, and throughout the nation as a whole. We must lift the productive living standards of every person of our district. We need more industry and jobs. I am committed to restoring our nation’s commitment to big projects. My campaign motto is “Great Projects for a Great America!” For more details of my campaign, and vision for the 9th district, visit my website at Kesharogers.com.
